The project pretend to keep the pre-existing as unaltered as possible by simply working on covering the existing structure. The new skin will hide the old building, which is too rough and solid, the new skin will transform the building aspect, designing more pleasant facade that better suited the commercial use of the building. The idea is to use a metal mesh that will cover the north and west facades entirely (PHASE 1). The metalic nets will be placed on staggered planes, creating a three-dimensional effect, which will be emphasized in the evening with LED lighting.
The east elevation (PHASE 2) will be simply covered with metal nets, eliminating the three-dimensional and light effects that characterize the two main façades.

Il progetto si concentra nel mantenere il più possibile invariata la preesistenza lavorando semplicemente su un rivestimento della struttura esistente. La nuova pelle dovrà nascondere il vecchio edificio troppo grezzo e massiccio, disegnando una facciata gradevole e più consona alla destinazione d'uso commerciale dell'immobile. L'idea è quella di utilizzare una rete a maglia metallica che ricopra interamente i fronti principali nord e ovest (FASE 1). Le reti verranno posizionate su piani sfalsati tra loro, creando un effetto tridimensionale sulla facciata, che verrà enfatizzato di sera con un illuminazione a led.
Il prospetto est (FASE 2) verrà semplicemente rivestito con reti metalliche tutte sullo stesso piano eliminando quella tridimensionalità e qui giochi di luce che caratterizzano le due facciate principali.
