The remodeling project of the London Victorian Maida Vale Flat proposes a sober and elegant requalification for the required spaces, seeking from the architecture a modern and contemporary style, without forgetting the classic character of the existing apartment and adapting to the needs of the users. The common thread that integrates the spaces is the warmth and clarity in the colors and textures, making the walls cool tones with integration of the complete hard wood floor and several fixed wooden furniture in the kitchen and main bathroom.

From the design, two scenarios are contemplated: 1. The first five years 2. After five years. Having as a focus the change of rooms that the apartment allows. To this is integrated the idea of a folding door between the back room and the kitchen to allow a flexible development of spatiality that reinforces the current relationship of the spaces and that facilitates future retrofits.

As a fundamental part of the environment, several contrasting points of walls and furniture in darker and more elegant tones are added, this is the case of the kitchen (which is completely redesigned), living room and master bedroom. And in addition, a warm and elegant stone texture is added to the bathroom to complete a modern and spacious redesign. Lighting also plays an important role, which is proposed as a diverse use of lamps and LED spots that accompany dark spaces such as kitchen, bathroom and corridor.

It is recommended that the demolition of walls be minimal to avoid cost overruns, for this reason strong interventions of this type are only made in the bathroom (the cylinder wall is demolished) and in the back room (the old fireplace is demolished to give more space) .

As composition details, an extension of the entrance wardrobe is generated to integrate a small and comfortable bathroom. In addition, the fireplace in the living room is reactivated to give comfort to the space.
