SUMAPAZ HOTEL

This hotel project is located in the center of Melgar - Tolima. The intervention is based on an expansion of 3400 m2 that includes 46 rooms with a commercial platform and a basement for public and private parking. The double main facade, located on 7th street, is made up of large metal panels with custom-designed perforations that allow natural light to pass through and create a play of light and shadow inside the hotel. This unique design provides a visual experience while thermally insulating the spaces. Likewise, the double facade inside the project is made up of large terracotta-colored metal panels with perforations that allow for air circulation and thermally insulate the rooms.
The integral design, functionality, and user comfort were all carefully incorporated.
The first floor is developed as a commercial platform with a perimeter route through a 6.5-meter-high showcase that includes 6 double-height premises. Access to the hotel is marked from a lobby that distributes to the fixed point, consisting of an elevator and stairs. Likewise, the lobby framed by a double-height vertical garden distributes to a restaurant with a view towards the main pool and a service area destined for a water circuit composed of a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish bath. The second floor has rooms, a service area destined for administrative areas and interactive games. And the floors of the third and fourth floors have rooms and an event/business hall.
