Laurea con Tesi dal titolo “Il Quinto Quartiere. Un Progetto di habitat provvisorio a Caltanissetta".The following work’s goal is to build a brand new aggregative area and a new whole living facility, by reducing the effects on the environment due to new applied engineerings. Soon by spotting the assigned area, we have been carrying on analyzing the history of dwelling in a slight place, by showing its root, its research and its own evolution through time. Also, many of the topics on this matter have been dealt, for example: the meaning of a “place” and a “no place”, the meaning of “Utopia” and “Eutopia”, the idea of contingency and resilience and at last the designing of a cyclic facility. The aim is to emphasize the benefits of living in a tiny place. In the beginning of the work, an abandoned site, a “no place” in Caltanissetta, chief town’s district in the center of Sicily, will be detected and retrained. In this case, the work foresees the realization of a large city park with car parking, a widespread town garden for all the community and a specific area reserved to sport activities. For the housing estate, we considered seven different form which may include an amount of one hundred and eight flats, created with containers. The grid (form), made on steel, once its task as a housing unit storage is fulfilled, could be transformed in a roof garden. In the designing of the town garden , we managed on preserving as much as we can the current vegetation and we also have been able to investigate the psychological and physical benefits which come from garden care and keeping. The making of the project has turned a suburb area, who can be likened to a “no place” but with a powerful visionary capability, from an unseen spot, ignored by people’s eyes who daily pass through the surrounding routes, to an aggregative site with its own particular social value, similar to an “eutopic” place
