I had the opportunity to work as a Project Architect Intern at WeWork for the Enterprise team in the branch of custom solutions. The enterprise team was in charge of bringing large companies interested in WeWork spaces and adapting them to their necessities. I was in charge of making design layouts, execution layouts and the construction supervision of my projects. I worked for North LATAM and did projects for Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina and Brazil. This experience taught me how to work with Revit, at an advanced level and with the most advanced tools and technologies available today for construction and architecture.
I had the opportunity to work as an Architecture Intern with award winning architects Muricio Rocha and Gabriela Carrillo at the last phase of the enlargement and remodeling project for the Anahuacalli Museum of Diego Rivera, located in Coyoacán, Mexico City. I was in charge of the conceptual and executive project for the main entrance of the museum and the audio visual/ maintenance building. The maintenance building consisted of the remodeling and enlargement of the warehouse designed by Mexican renowned architect and painter Juan O’Gorman. Thanks to this project the warehouse was restored and now it will house the restoration laboratories, the main workshop, the control room, the public bathrooms and the audio visual room of the museum. Working in this project was a great opportunity to learn the responsibility that it entails to intervene in a World Heritage building with a large social responsibility and how to make a project to the smallest detail while managing the difficulties of construction.
I had the opportunity to work in the architecture firm of award winning architect Fernando Romero in the conceptual an executive project development team. I helped my team with conceptual analysis, Diagrams, photo editing, 3D computer modeling, Physical modeling and CAD drawings. I had the opportunity to design the conceptual proposal for a monument, a museum and in my last months I was in the executive and construction team for the building of a house in Virreyes, Mexico City. This experience taught me to think differently than all the experiences I previously had. I mainly learned how to grasp the concept of a project and how to represent ideas in a professional and attractive manner.
I had the opportunity to work part-time as a Space planner for a team of brokers at Cushman & Wakefield Mexico City for a year. The team I worked for did Agency leasing and Tenant representation specialized in office spaces. I helped my team by doing Space Programing studies, Test Fits, Boma Measurements, Architectural Surveys and office building renderings.
