MECANISA Office Building

An office building project for the company MECANISA, which is a company based in Monterrey that makes and sells steel parts for engineering and industrial machines. The premise of the project consists on creating a language based on the usage of steel, given the nature of the company.

We wanted the facade and the character of the building to give clues about what the company is based off.

The project is developed on 3 levels. Each one with a different use. The ground level is a green parking lot, which integrates vegetation in order to work as a “patio” for the upper levels.

The combination of materials and the simple geometry of the composition, aim to accomplish two important concpets for the project: the elegance of a corporate building, and the rugged character of industrial machinery, both telling a bit of the story of the company it serves.
