Modern Cottage

The Client had two pieces of land; adjacent but at different levels. The idea was to design something without doing much changes to the site. I placed the bedrooms on the lower level connected it to the upper level with a staircase; which formed an atrium. The public spaces; lounge, kitchen, dining and guest room were kept on the upper level, which had an easy access to the outside hence making it perfect for the main entrance. The structure has a RCC framework, the walls would be stone with wooden cladding. Big glass windows would merge the indoor with the beautiful outdoor. The slopped roof and blue exterior, perfectly mimic the surrounding mountains, hence blending in with the context perfectly.
