This architectural study for a private client has been shaped by the customer requirements, the context and the town planning restrictions. The house had to have a “traditional” shape considering the facade towards the road (east), the building was therefore designed in the most traditional way possible: an house “house shaped”. As the constructible volume was limited, a sort of portico (one of the customer's requirements) has been designed, this part is integrated to the main structure and allows to save constructible volume, while maintaining the characteristic shape. From the second floor, towards the west, you can see the Alps, this spectacular view was enhanced by an irregular facade, modeled as an alpine rock, which perfectly frames the view, maximizes the efficiency of solar panels and allows the access to the to the two-storey terrace created using the scaffolding: a traditional element, unconventionally used.
