Location: Mombasa old town
Design Objectives:
To promote restoration as an economic means of urban renewal and revitalisation while preserving the  cultural identity of the area. The main spaces are workshops for wood tracery and embroidery. Outdoor working spaces have been introduced for comfort. Swahili architectural elements such as Mashrabiya, decoration and ornamentation have been used to place the design in its context.
