This concept design is of a co-op on Chicago’s Lakeshore Drive. The 5000 square foot apartment occupies two floors of a 20 story pre-war building, built in the 1930’s.
The client is stricken with the onset of rheumatoid arthritis, a progressive condition. She needs the master suite designed for her condition now and twenty years from now.
To help sustain her ability physically, the client would like to use the master suite as not only a sleeping and bathing space, but a mini spa area where she can meditate, do yoga, stretch, steam shower, bathe in a whirlpool tub together with the soothing sound of a water feature.
