The project is developed in a splendid land of 800 m2 with a small gap in a heavily wooded area of Zapopan. The project is solved in two parallel parts to the side and back easements to release most of the land for a terrace and a large garden on which the views of the house are mixed. Taking advantage of the natural slope of the land a half-basement is proposed for the large garage requested for the client.
The areas of the program are closed to the next neighbors coinciding with the west and south. The four rooms take advantage of the best views to the wooden north with large balconies that operate as an extension of the rooms. The center of the house is formed by the double-height living room which joins the building having the family areas (TV room, study and gym) in the center of the program by dividing it in two areas: the parents’ and the teen’s children bedrooms.
The fully glazed ground level solves the social program of the house, where all spaces can be merged and extended to create a unique atmosphere becoming it in a very ‘social’ home, the services are located in one end of the area in “L” having access service that communicates to the garden.
In upstairs level ‘floating’ predominates convincing and blind volumes that strategically open according to the interior program. The main facade is presented with a very simple volumetry having as protagonist a wooden lattice that regulates eastern light entering to the double-height room and house distributor.
