Leyla's Villa starts from the analysis of the site, by the search for better orientation to be given to the building. Favoring the front towards the south, the roof of the building follows the sun to get a larger surface area for the installation of solar and photovoltaic panels, eliminating the flap facing north. The main exposure to the south provides an adequate system of screening and shading. The use of a cutting edge and innovative construction system appears to be an essential prerequisite of the building, both in order to control since the design and construction process every single detail, that to be able to program the time and cost of realization.Considering that the best "clean" energy is that which is not consumed (through the super-insulation), the project will ensure less use of energy from renewable sources such as solar and geothermal. The solar panels and photovoltaic equipment represent a "standard" of many existing buildings, what is more developed and in each case, is the "energy concept" of the building, in order to calibrate the best plant equipment of the same.Leyla's Villa is designed to protect the indoor environment from both the long hot summer that the winter temperatures. If one takes into consideration the fact that, at least in the Pianura Padana, both the climatic conditions are characterized by strong humidity values, the casing "super-block" will have to ensure a long period of phase shift, through an outer coat "with mass" and windows with a very low U-values and adequately shielded. Each environment is designed to ensure maximum yield: for example the laundry on the first floor has been inserted to south so as to be less humid possible, besides the creation of a loggia allows drying clothes outside during the period summer. Same goes for the kitchen pantry on the ground floor: it has been inserted in the south, always to the welfare humidity that many foods need for proper storage.
