This project was born from the desire to transform an outdoor area into a natural extension of the home a place to fully enjoy every moment of the day, surrounded by comfort, nature, and togetherness.
I envisioned a garden that welcomes you, telling a story of simplicity and well-being: a BBQ area for dinners, a relaxation zone designed for slowing down and breathing deeply, harmonious paths between grass, stone, and greenery, and every detail carefully designed with love for light and outdoor living.
Technical Description
The project involves a functional and landscape reorganization of the outdoor space, with particular focus on paving, vegetation, and infrastructure setup (including lighting).
1. Paving
Travertine None: used in walkways and around the house to ensure durability and visual continuity.
Concrete Screed: applied in the parking area and entrance pathway, resistant to weather and low absorption.
Drainage installation is recommended, with stabilized sub-base.
2. Green Areas and Vegetation
Grass None (lawn): laid out in the relaxation and frontyard areas for play and decorative purposes.
Thuja Occidentalis: planted along the perimeter as a green screen for privacy and acoustic comfort.
Soil preparation includes recommended irrigation system (drip for hedges, underground for lawn).
3. Structures and Functional Zones
BBQ & Dining Pergola: a covered area for dinners and social activities; includes setup for hanging light and power outlet.
Wellness Area: a dedicated space for relaxation, featuring modular flooring and possible installation of ground lighting and built-in seating.
4. Outdoor Lighting
Wall-mounted lights (appliques): positioned in covered areas (veranda and BBQ).
Ground lights: along the entrance path and garden focal points.
IP65-rated outdoor switches: placed near entrances for independent control.
Cable conduits + junction boxes: to be prepared underneath the paving.
5. Access and Pathways
Main entrance: finished with concrete screed pathway.
Secondary garden paths: in travertine
Relaxation zone : clearly defined to avoid obstructing circulation flow.
