The project wants to satisfy the needs of the Customer while preserving the existing, in terms of technical systems and finishings (flooring). Access to the terrace takes place from the glazed building that houses the staircase connecting to the floor below. This SPACE becomes a winter garden, where shelter green plants in cold times or ritify a cozy relax&reading place. A low library allows hosting books but also can be used to support the flower pots.
The visual privacy must be guaranteed above all to the south and east, while the other prospects should better benefit of the existing view. On the southern facade a wall of climbing plants is proposed, such as the fragrant jasmine, easy to plant because they can also be left in pots. Along the eastern front, on the other hand, it is proposed to use the pots already in the possession of the client, planting species that can grow at a suitable height.
Outside the greenhouse is the dining area, using the existing table. A shaded wooden pergola with curtains allows having the right comfort even in the sunniest hours. The table stands on the existing flooring.
Close to the dining area, two green lawn areas have been created, using synthetic grass rolls laid directly on the existing floor. Synthetic grass is a cheap solution, also easy to keep. It can be placed over the existing floor and to be cleaned is enough to use the vacuum cleaner.
Conversation/relax area stands on a composite wooden plank platform, suitable for outdoor space and easy to lead on the exsting floor. This low platform also allows access to BBQ and to the air conditioning unit. Conversation area lean on a built-in flowerpot, coated with wooden planks used as couch backrest and it is retroilluminated by light, already existing in that area. A movable curtain allows shading area as the customer wants.
The existing water faucet becomes a fountain for the water supply; it also slides into a low water blade, filled also with small white pebbles, set into a waterproof basin close to the parapet, creating a kinf of Japanese garden.
