Hi, I am buying an apartment in Pre Saint Didier (nice location in Val D’Aosta close to Courmayeur, Italian Alps). The building is from 1800 and has been restructured 30 years ago (picture attached). The apartment is divided in 2 floors. Currently ground zero is only living room and kitchen whilst I am looking to a solution where I could have also a small bathroom (not sure if the bathroom should be realized where the kitchen is, hope so but still not sure if feasible, originally it was where currently there is the table in correspondence of the bathroom at second floor). Second floor I would like to realize 2 rooms and only 1 bathroom. In addition, the stair is just in the middle of the apartment and I would like to make it a design element more than just a stair, without moving it. The apartment will included a pellet eater as in Northern Europe that today is close to the table. The floor is in stone in ground zero and I would like to keep it adding elements in wood and iron. I am looking for a simple solution in alpine and natural style that could match with the natural environment around, but charming and cosy.
Another info: the apartment has 2 accesses in ground zero: 1 from the building and 1 in front from a small garden (9 Mq). the overall Height is 2,20 m.
Ciao! sto comprando un appartamento a Pre Saint Didier (un paese di vacanza in Val d’Aosta vicino a Courmayeur, famoso per le terme). La casa e’ originaria del 1800 ed e’ stata ristrutturata 30 anni fa. L’appartamento e’ su due piani: al piano terra oggi c’e’ una zona giorno, una cucina separata da una parete in legno, mentre vorrei includere anche un bagno (non sono ancora sicura che il bagno possa essere realizzato dove oggi c’e’ la cucina, mentre so che originariamente era dove c’e’ il tavolo in corrispondenza dei bagni al secondo piano). Al secondo piano vorrei realizzare due camere ed un solo bagno. La scala e’ nel mezzo dell’appartamento e mi piacerebbe valorizzarla trasformandola in un elemento di arredo e non solo una scala (senza pero’ spostarla). Il riscaldamento sara’ inoltre con stufa a pellet, altro elemento architettonico da valorizzare. Il pavimento al piano terra e’ in pietra e vorrei mantenere questo stile aggiungendo anche legno e ferro. Sto pensando ad una soluzione in stile montagna, ma molto semplice e naturale che rispetti l’ambiente circostante, calda ed accogliente. Altre info: l’appartamento ha accesso principale al piano terra dall’edificio, ma anche da un giardinetto di circa 9mq proprio di fronte. L’altezza in tutte le stanze e’ di 2,20m
