Stanza di Martino

This interior is conceived as a playful, nature-inspired micro-world where architecture becomes an active participant in a child’s development. The design merges sleep, play, and learning into a continuous spatial narrative, using soft geometries and layered elements to create a sense of exploration and comfort.

A strong biophilic concept drives the palette and forms: deep green tones, rounded wall panels resembling hills, and mural landscapes transform the room into an abstracted outdoor environment. Natural materials—primarily warm wood and matte finishes—reinforce tactility and visual warmth, balancing the vibrant thematic elements with a calm, grounded atmosphere.

The space is organized through functional zoning without physical separation. The bunk bed integrates rest and privacy, while the climbing wall and gym elements introduce movement and physical engagement. Opposite this, the study area is deliberately minimal and structured, supporting focus and cognitive activity, with symmetry and clean lines contrasting the more expressive play zone.

Lighting plays a sculptural role, with geometric pendants acting as visual anchors and adding a layer of contemporary identity. Overall, the concept reflects a holistic environment—one that nurtures creativity, independence, and well-being through a seamless blend of architecture, furniture, and imagination.
