Dear Client thank you very much for the chance to work on such a beautiful building. The design strategy behind my submission, is to create a corten steel staircase on the corner of the building as you approach.
There will be two apartments on the left side of the building in 2 floors each respectively, while on the right side , there will be one apartment for the First floor accessed from the ground floor, and another on the attic level, being accessed by the new staircase entrance.
Any blocked windows will be restored in their original opened state. The main entrance on the first floor will be a window turned into a door. New Skylights will be formed on the roof to accommodate the needs of the new design.
The stone texture of the existing wall will be revealed on the internal part of each wall and where needed imitated to match.I hope you will like the design, which has been thought in a way that will respect the existing skin, and retain as much of the original structure as possible.
