Il progetto soddisfa le richieste del cliente, intervenendo sull’esistente con pochi progetti mirati. Di fatto le uniche opere murarie previste si concentrano nella zona giorno. Si è pensato alla demolizione della pareti dell’ingresso e della cucina, allo scopo di realizzare un unico ambiente openspace dove trovano posto una zona conversazione con divano, librerie e un mobile tv; e una zona pranzo. In adiacenza si apre la cucina, che si è completamente rivista nell’arredo e nelle finiture, con basi e pensili in legno e un tavolo ribaltabile a parete, sfruttabile per una colazione o un pranzo veloce. Il frigorifero è stato pensato freestanding, in stile anni ’50 color giallo: elemento di carattere e di rottura, la cui nota di colore diventa tema che si ripropone nelle mensole della cucina e nelle sedie della zona pranzo. Lo spazio adiacente alla porta d’ingresso è stato sfruttato realizzando un armadio guardaroba a tutt’altezza con spalletta in cartongesso e ante scorrevoli con finitura a specchio. L’antibagno, necessario per legge, è stato ricavato all’interno del bagno esistente. Essendo quest’ultimo appena ristrutturato, si è ipotizzato un intervento poco invasivo, con la realizzazione di una parete in cartongesso e una porta scorrevole su binario esterno. Il locale antibagno è stato sfruttato per il posizionamento della lavatrice e di mobili contenitori per detersivi e bucato. Un nuovo mobile lavabo è stato invece posizionato in adiacenza alla doccia. Infine nella camera da letto si è pensato di posizionare la scrivania sfruttabile dal cliente per il suo lavoro da casa.

The design meets the customer's requirements, with little intervening on the existing targeted projects. In fact the only building work planned focus in the living area. It is thought the demolition of the walls of the entrance and the kitchen in order to create a single, open space where there are a sitting area with sofa, bookshelves and a mobile TV; and a dining area. Adjacent open kitchen, which has completely revised the furnishings and finishes, with base and wall units and a wooden folding table on the wall, exploitable for a breakfast or a quick lunch. The refrigerator is designed freestanding, 50s style yellow: element of character and strength, whose note of color becomes the theme that recurs in the kitchen shelves and chairs in the dining area. The space adjacent to the front door has been tapped creating a wardrobe to-ceiling soffit plasterboard and sliding doors with a mirror finish. The dressing, required by law, is housed within the existing bathroom. The latter being just renovated, it has assumed a minor office procedure, with the construction of a plasterboard wall and a sliding door on the outer track. The dressing room was used for positioning the washing machine and cabinets for washing and laundry. A new washbasin was instead positioned adjacent to the shower. Finally in the bedroom it was decided to place the desk usable by the client for his work from home
