We need to redesign our loft because of our child birth. We need to add a bedroom by extend our actual mezzanine. Our idea is to build a new closed bedroom, able to pass the light into the open space, on the opposite side of the current room, where there is the window / entrance door, and to connect the two bedrooms with a walkway (lateral? Or better Central?). At the same time we would like to recover much more space in the actual first floor, reducing the dimension of the ladder. Upstair we also would like to obtain a space dedicated to a small study (on the walkway, in the corner?) for a desk, and a small library. Finally we would like to redesign the back garden to better exploit it during the summer, as an extension of the living room (table for the lunch, protected to teh sun). with the renovation, we would like to eliminate the actual stair (too much bulky) to recover space (we do not want spiral staircases). thanks.
