The proposal for the apartment entrance arose from the need to solve an existing issue: two steps located right at the doorway, which made access difficult and compromised user comfort and safety.

The solution aims not only to correct this condition but also to enhance the overall arrival experience. A small entrance terrace is proposed, designed at the same level as the interior, allowing for a smooth and barrier-free transition into the apartment. This terrace incorporates a gently integrated ramp that resolves the level difference in an accessible and elegant way, making entry easier for people of all ages, especially seniors or those with reduced mobility.

One of the key values of this proposal is its respect for the existing structure: the access wall is preserved, avoiding unnecessary demolition and maintaining the integrity of the building. Only the height of the entrance door was adjusted, adapting it to the new level.

The result is a more functional, inclusive, and harmonious entrance that turns an initial limitation into an opportunity to enhance the apartment’s character and strengthen its connection with the exterior space.
