It was great pleasure working on this project and through the variety of options left for You to choose I hope we could get the best solution for this space.
Both of my solutions were based on finding the best position for large central dinning area while retaining good position of living room area and great kitchen size. That is the reason why kitchen is placed in the "camera" and living area in the "soggiorno".
First solution is based on the open space concept where entrance is becoming part of all the living area including dinning and kitchen, and corridor that leads to the more private area of the apartment is separated from the living zone through the transparent wooden shelves still retaining the feeling of the open space. This option has great storage area and kitchen as in your reference photography.
Second solution creates different variables of openings between the kitchen/dinning and the rest of apartment. Through three different doors leading to entrance, corridor and living space, it varies from the completely separate kitchen and dinning space to completely open space when all the doors are open. That way the feeling of space is constantly changing. In this option kitchen is divided in three tracts - one with the stove and countertops, second - kitchen island with the sink and the third with the floor-to-ceiling cabinets.
For the lighting plan, I suggested the base lighting concept but You can change it due to the further interior designing.
