This apartment combines the modern and avant-garde aesthetics with selected antique pieces to achieve a balance between functionality and beauty. The aim of the project is to emphasize the key spaces such as the gathering spaces and the living spaces (living room and bedroom respectively) by introducing white and bright colors which are carefully illuminated by large windows and artificial lighting fixtures. The juxtaposition of wood and white matte also introduces the notion of "home" while also welcoming guests and friends.

The living room is an environment which is functional and flexible. Along to the sofa, it is placed a low piece of furniture as a space for storing, stacking or shelving, in order to fully exploit this space. It was also decided to take advantage of the potential of existing windows, by maximizing the adjacent floor area and hence the related illumination. A large table is used for an array of activities from dining with friends to having breakfast with family. The space is flexible and can be altered according to the client.
