I tried as much as possible to aggregate value at the things you already have at your residence. You have a great space that must have a lot of good stories, and I think you should reinvent your space.
I am suggesting some changes to create a better flow, bring more colors, and still make a brighter space! I really like your existing furniture, and as it is darker, I think we should work with a lighter color on the other elements, trying to create the illusion of a bigger space.
A colorful sofa is also the key point of the space bringing more life! The gold is used on the decorations to create a more sophisticated look.
Creating a room with a balance between joyful and modern space!
