The design strategy that I took into account to redistribute the internal spaces of the ground floor, is guided by the requirements that the owner raised in the competition rules. That is why the first thing I did was reduce the size of the kitchen, thus allowing more space to be gained in the living room and dining room.
The kitchen is closed and although it is now smaller, it has all the necessary elements to function properly. The countertop has an "L" shape and there is space to place a small table with four chairs, where you can rest or have a quick lunch.
Near the kitchen is the bathroom, with a small shower, sink, toilet and bidet.
The main room, which is the largest space in the house, is made up of a living room with furniture to place a music player, place decoration, books or other objects. On the vertical wall is the fireplace and a television. In front of the fireplace is a large sofa and side chair.
In the lower part of the main room, there is a dining room which has space for six people. Now it is much bigger, since in the previous space there was only room for a small dining room for four people.
Between the dining room and the stairs there is a division of vertical wooden elements and under the stairs there is a small space to store things.
The floor is porcelain, imitation wood and the style of the interior design of the spaces is industrial but not so overloaded.
