"Ricasoli 2024, un nuovo inizio!" was a remarkable project truly with a new beginning for an amazing apartment in the province of Arezzo surrounded by hilly terrain having magnificent views. Initially, I would like to thank the client for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful renovation project.
Following the main scope of the project to extend the existing terrace areas in both front and back, both have extended about twice the size as previously, making them more welcoming by introducing outdoor furniture and a water feature for relaxation and enjoying outdoor discussions.
Considering the interior remodeling, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a studio for residents have been incorporated while keeping the original windows without any changes. In addition, a storage room has also been incorporated near the kitchen to maximize the storage capacity required since the absence of such space exists. The kitchen has been equipped with an island beside the sofa which faces the eco-friendly KLOVER PHP 160 fireplace embedded into the featuring wall located at the previous kitchen. The location has been carefully positioned with the intention of using the existing chimney for exhaustion. Space has been further expanded with the removal of internal walls allowing indoor-outdoor connectivity throughout the entire space starting from the main entrance towards the rear terrace entrance near the living space at a single glance.
The focal point of the apartment is the studio/study room which has been located at the rear side adjacent to the rear deck. It would have been great to have a window towards the rear deck from the study to make it more comfortable but this has been avoided with the creation of openings in addition to the existing openings. The studio has been facilitated with lots of bookshelves and a mini pantry for the residents to allow an isolated period at the working/relaxing time without being disturbed by coming out of the studio. In addition, a convertible sofa bed has been proposed for multipurpose utilization expecting the space more functional.
It has been a great pleasure to work on the project and a bit challenging due to the space available, yet the interior has been optimized as much as possible to make it more comfortable and relaxed while the acoustic panels would make the space more quite and calm from the noisy neighborhood allowing the residents to enjoy their hobbies and well being.
