Dear client,
Based on your request and a detailed analysis of your apartment, I present to you the conceptual design of your apartment. Since you were open to more options regarding the number of rooms and certain details, I was free to suggest a few options that differ on this issue. The problematic elements or elements that were key on the basis of which I treated these options are;
01 - The lighting of your apartment, especially the bedroom. The bedroom, the bathroom as well as the central part of the apartment are lit only through the "Chiostrin".
02 - Another important segment is the size of the bedroom, which is more than enough for one bedroom, but with the problem of lighting because we could not put windows on the side walls. This bedroom could certainly receive another function due to its size, except that the problem was lighting.
03 - The next important factor is the bathroom. Access to the bathroom was through the bedroom, which certainly disturbs the privacy of the users of the bedroom.
04 - And last, the key factor is the future use of the apartment. You stated that the apartment will not be used as your permanent place of residence but the apartment to host friends. The requirement was that the living room and kitchen are opposite the veranda, and that they have larger dimensions and that the style is modern.

With all this in mind, I removed all the partition walls in your apartment. In this way, I freed up the space of small partitions and created a large airy space where, opposite the veranda and through a large sliding portal, I connected the living room and kitchen with the veranda and its functions. This half of the apartment (living room, kitchen and dining area) as well as the veranda, remain almost unchanged through almost all variants. Since the apartment is not for permanent residence, through airiness, modern lines and reduced furniture, it is suitable for gatherings and socializing. I treated the other half of the apartment through several options;
Solution 01_Large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, probably for a child. This room would have over 20 square meters, lit directly over "Chiostrina". I think that the disadvantage of this variant is the direct passage through the room towards the bathroom.
Solution 02_For this reason, I have presented you with a subvariant, with an almost identical organization, except that in this option there is a side wall that makes a passage to the bathroom. In this way, the room is indirectly illuminated by a large milk glass panel on the side and unobstructed passage to the bathroom is achieved. The room is connected to the living room by a large sliding door which still leaves that part of the apartment large and airy.
Solution 03_I find that while this is not your permanent place of residence, that you don’t need to limit space and that going through the bedroom might not be the way to the bathroom. I envisioned a fixed panel with frosted glass parallel to the window of "Chiostrina" which will illuminate the bedroom and at the same time allow a direct passage to the bathroom. I designed a large sliding door that connects the living room and the bedroom, thus giving the impression of "large space" and airiness. In this option, you will find a closet behind the bed in the bedroom. Serves as a "walk in closet" or storage. I think it's important that you see what this apartment has to offer, that's why all these sub-variants were created.
Solution 04_A new variant that the small room is indirectly lit and located behind the master bedroom. Then it would function as a niche for sleeping and I think that the problem of direct illumination is not so much a problem if that room is not constantly used by someone, but only temporarily and for sleeping. It would have a frosted glass on the door anyway.
Solution 05_The option to have a small room next to "Chiostrina" reduces the living room, so that the effect of large living space is reduced, and again it leaves us with an unnecessarily large master bedroom.
Solution 06_There is also a variant that the small bedroom is oriented towards the veranda. In this variant we also do not have such a large living room as in the previous options.
My choice is option number three, that you have one bedroom that is indirectly lit by a large glass panel via "Chiostrino", connected by a large sliding door to the living room and that you have a "walk in closet" behind or that instead of a "walk in closet" you can have extra bed for a child. In this way, your living room and kitchen remain large, modern and suitable for the function you have specified.

The veranda contains the functions you requested, a seating area, a dining table and a movable fire pit. I used the veranda space and divided it into four functional and connected units;
01. seating area. It is a classic space with two small sofas and a coffee chair.
02. In the same plane only the other part of the seating area is elevated which gives you other possibilities and atmosphere. Here you can set up a fire pit for socializing on cool nights especially if you have a little bigger company. I predicted that the sitting would be done on an elevated surface relative to the first part.
03. The dining area is close to the veranda exit and is close to the small bar I planed on the veranda.
04.Bar, electric grill, small sink, and counter are the fourth part of this veranda. Here you can cook, have snacks with your friends, and everything you enjoy.
The central part of the space is planned for decorative moments such as water and a tree. The area of almost 40m2 provides that we have details of water and greenery. In the shallow trough, I planned a water feature that will create a pleasant atmosphere for your socializing on the veranda.
I hope that the proposals I have presented to you will leave a positive impression on you.
