Dear Client

Here is our proposition for your home

Our first step was finding nice doors to suite the styles of the house exterior and two interiors, the transitional (first floor, with the chipendale furniture) and the modern second floor. For the exterior we found classic double doors of a refreshing pine green colour, perfect for your surrounding and very inviting, yet sturdy with the impression of strong hardwood. The interior doors are both sliding and swinging. We chose the first floor swinging doors to be classic, wood impression, and the sliding to be translucent and airy, glass with natural patterns and wood screens. The second floor has translucent glass swinging doors and the wooden screens for the sliding doors, so it is in the modern style.
To match the doors and window sils (dark walnut) we searched for furniture on many locations.
For the first floor we tried to make a smooth transition from the antique pieces you have to the modern furniture that will be on the whole second floor. The living area has mostly wooden and calm neutral pieces that complement the chipendale tables. The study has large metal modular shelves on all walls, which are completed with an industrial style table, a mix of wood and metal. The kitchen is made linear, to accomodate the long wall and keep the space open, it is a white contemporary sollution, nothing too high-tec that would be aggresive towards the dining table and chairs. The second living room (entered through the kitchen) is a contemporary room with a nice ceramic table as the focal point. One bedroom has the side tables and the other has the dresser, the beds are teak wood that makes them look very cozy
The second floor starts with a wood-metal kitchen, we chose it to be cozy, rather than industrial, as it has a nice open terrace that will always connect it to the outside. The two bedrooms have modern beds and desks, with a strong blue colour on the walls, they can also have a red colour if you prefer, the effect will be equal. The hi-fi studio has a ceiling mounted projector and an open white wall to act as a canvas, and six chairs for sitting. The hi-fi device is right under the canvas wall, whilst the main wall is decorated with a long colourful modern shelving unit. The terrace is lined with modern planters, and we have found a nice sollution in "planter walls", a rack of small planters that goes vertically, this is also a nice DIY sollution so you can save money on them, there is always the classic "crossgrid" that can be placed along the walls, used for millenia for placing bougainvillea and grapes.
The colour scheme came last, resulting from the door and furniture colours, to balance them and activate them. Since we chose the green entry doors, we opted for blue to be the main contrast colour, present on all main walls. We believe it will keep the atmosphere cool and modern, whilst being bright enough to make it vibrant

We hope you like our project
