For the renovation of the future Queen Bar, I decided to draw heavily Rab island history: its roots dating back to the Roman Empire. From that, I took some architectural elements typical of ancient Rome and reinterpret it . Further descriptions about, included in the drawings.

For the practical level, I identified myself with the range of possible Queen Bar customers. What discourages me in choosing one place rather than another, is undoubtedly the aesthetics, the amount of people and if I can have preview of the place, without necessarily enter in it.

Starting from that, I decided to design a terrace with a separation from the street by a mobile flower bed: this allows to have a view of the inside from the outside, but at the same time guarantees an adequate level of privacy for customers.

Another thing that often discourages people, is seeing a pile of tables full of people outside. For this reason, I decided to replace a row of tables, with a bench of about 6 seats attached to the flower bed.

Considering the fact that Queen Bar is a cocktail bar, I have reduced the size of the tables to the minimum, as they will only serve to put cocktails on: in this way staff can easily pass on the terrace.

Still considering the nature of Queen Bar, I thought that a cocktail can also be consumed standing up, which is why I decided to install a counter on the top of the outside of the flower bed, useful for placing glasses. The whole structure still falling within the legal limits.

Considering this, the capacity between the outside and inside of the venue is about 45 people.

Concerning the finishes, I tried to "spend" reasonable amounts, considering the fact that the reason why a place is remembered (beyond the quality of the cocktails :) are the details, especially in a era where social networks (and therefore the image) are an excellent free advertising showcase.
