THE “PICCOLO GIOIELLO” PROJECT IS A SMALL APARTMENT THAT CONSISTS OF A LIVING AREA WITH A KITCHEN, A BEDROOM AND A BATHROOM WITH A SHOWER.
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WAS GETTING IN THE DESIGN ENOUGH VENTILATION AND LIGHTING SINCE THE WINDOW AREA WAS VERY SCARCE.
THE BATHROOM HAD TO BE SACRIFICATED, WHICH WAS LEFT WITHOUT A WINDOW, TO BE ABLE TO GET THE BEDROOM AND THE LIVING AREA AND THE KITCHEN TO HAVE WINDOWS.
A WALL WAS PROJECTED TO DIVIDE THE BEDROOM FROM THE LIVING AREA IN A DIAGONAL SHAPE TO BE ABLE TO GET WIDENESS IN THE LIVING AREA.
THE BEDROOM AREA WAS SACRIFIED TO BE ABLE TO HAVE ENOUGH AREA IN THE LIVING ROOM, AND THAT IT HAD ACCESS TO THE BALCONY THROUGH TWO SLIDING DOORS, WHICH AT THE SAME TIME GIVE IT SUFFICIENT LIGHTING.
WITH THE SAME PURPOSE OF HAVING GOOD LIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE APARTMENT, A WALL WAS CREATED BY VERTICAL WOODEN PIECES BETWEEN THE BEDROOM AND THE LIVING ROOM.
