My home "Luce nuova"

This proposal has been developed based on the existing floor plan and the client’s requirements, with a clear intention to achieve a more functional, elegant, and contemporary living environment while keeping demolition and structural changes to a minimum.
The design approach prioritizes the preservation of the current layout, load-bearing walls, and main service cores. By maintaining the original positions of the kitchen and bathroom, the project avoids unnecessary relocation of plumbing and drainage systems, resulting in a more cost-effective, efficient, and technically sound intervention.
The overall spatial organization remains consistent with the existing plan, with a clear distinction between the day area and the night area. Circulation is improved through subtle adjustments to internal partitions and door alignments, enhancing usability without altering the architectural logic of the apartment.
The living and dining area retains its original location and proportions, benefiting from direct access to the balcony and abundant natural light. The space is refined through interior reorganization and furniture layout, creating a more fluid and welcoming environment suitable for both daily life and social occasions, without requiring structural demolition.
The kitchen remains in its current position to minimize technical intervention. Its layout is optimized through a more efficient configuration and the introduction of a compact peninsula, improving functionality and storage while maintaining a visual connection with the entrance and living area.
The bathroom is redesigned within its existing footprint. In accordance with the client’s preferences, the bathtub is removed and replaced with a generously sized walk-in shower. This solution enhances comfort, accessibility, and visual clarity while fully respecting the existing service connections.
The bedrooms maintain their original locations to preserve privacy and acoustic comfort. Storage is improved through integrated solutions, ensuring better organization without increasing the built area or modifying structural elements.
Overall, this proposal represents a balanced and rational design solution: it enhances comfort, aesthetics, and functionality while respecting the existing structure, reducing construction complexity, and limiting demolition to what is strictly necessary.
