My design is based on real life situation, and how to use them to maximize your monthly income, from your apartment.
And the facts are the next:
1. most tourist stay in Palermo for just 3-5 days, mostly visiting the festivals
like Lake Party, Santa Rosalia or Nomad Music Festival, etc...
During the days they stay in Palermo, they at first need cheap and clean accommodation, with basic service, like bath and small kitchen, as they eat mostly outside. They need hostel, just for placing the luggage and to have somewhere to rest overnight, as Palermo is so much interesting, with so much beautiful weather to spend it indooor.
2. Tourist usually come in groups or 2-4, single tourist are very rare.
Therefore I decided to make the most functional apartment, split into 2 independent apartments, connected by common entrance, and both to use same bathroom and small kitchen. Suitable enough to fulfill the needs of 4-8 people.
3. Lavanderia, could be easily placed in ingresso, with its own ripostiglio/ shelves.
***-Washing machine uses ∅25-35mm, for both clean and dirty water, and both income and outcome water joints
are placed pretty high, although it can be lifted for at least 25-35cm, and with outgoing dirty water slope of 2.5-5%
we are pretty much on the safe side regarding on mounting the lavanderia in the ingresso.
In the other words, to make long story short, it can be placed there with no technical issue, just the pipes to be hidden
or even to be left visible.
My goal was to not to make design that will impress you, but to make the most functional design to serve your basic goals, and to make your apartment rented most time of the year.
