Thank you for the opportunity to design your beautiful mountain house. After studying you needs and you existing house, I proposed three alternative designs, which basically have an open layout for the living room and kitchen. There are two types of demolition plans. In the alternative 1 design, the access of living and kitchen area is throuh the corridor. Above the corridor, I proposed storage for for the snow (ski jackets, sk suits, etc). As you mentioned in the briefing, I also proposed foldaway wall bed in the living room and bed sofa. The total of bed is for 10 people . In the bathroom 2 (8) I designed bathroom with one toilet with integrated bidet, small sink, and shower. But incase you do not need shower in this bathroom, it can be changed to laundry/ washing machine.
In the alternative 2 design, living and kitchen area can be access straight from the entrance. The other difference is the position of foldaway bed wall and the kitchen layout.
The layout plan of alternative 2 and 3 is similar. The difference is only the furniture layout and kitchen layout.
For the style, I chose natural color, such as, white, wood color, and grey. For the material I poposed wood look alike porcelain stoneware, grey stone for blacksplash in the kitchen, solid surface corian countertops and melamine for foldaway bed wall and storage above the corridor.
