First of all I want to say thank you for the oportunity to work on this interested project.
I approach the solution in two variants for the layout and for the choosen furniture and lighting.
Kitchen follows the modern style, finished in natural and bright materials with a lot of storage space, there is also a pentry as you requered. It is devided from the living room with sliding panels but also could be open quicly if needed.
The planed oriantation for the kitchen island is central to achieve eassy access and functionality. Also could be used for a quick meal and there is enough spase if you would like to add the bar stools maybe in future. All the kichen equipment are built in the kitchen. Care was taken not to disturb the communications both in the kitchen and towards the exit to the yard.
The zone of the living room is the main space in variant A. It is positioned on centar, furnitured with big sofa. A fireplace has been added in case you are able to build it, for my opinion it would be nice having it there but you could also use the space for something else, TV maybe.
I was guided by your examples for the shelves from Pinterest. I used the custom made shelves in both variant because it is more usuable and they fit well into your space.
In variant B, all existing walls were retained without alteration. Accordingly the dining room remains in the same place as you planned in the attached plan and the living room as well. I added some extra space for the storage/hall way.
