The project seeks to minimize the amount of impact on both apartments, although a few walls have to be knocked down. The small apartment's living room becomes a new sumptuous master bedroom, with a suite bathroom and a luminous walk in closet and a dressing room. The living room is now almost double in size, with a spacious dinning room and lounge space. The large apartment's kitchen and bathroom are conserved as-is, to minimize expenses. A new closet space is defined in the limit between the entrance and inner hall using lightweight partitions (carpentry or gypsum board), and the smallest bedroom of the large apartment can be either a home office, a hobby space or a third bedroom. All major pipe connections in the small apartment's kitchen space (now converted to a walk in closet) are maintained, only covered up, for flexibility and easy future conversion.
