My partner and I have a builder’s grade master bathroom that totally lacks character. We would prefer no demolition, plumbing, or wiring work. We like modern/mid-century modern designs and colors, medium woods, traditionally “masculine”colors (green, blue, gray, gold, white, maroon, etc.) We don’t generally like busy or loud patterns, dislike yellows. We like the idea of painting the shower border black, like in some modern styles. We would love a place to hang wet towels to dry, but towel hooks and rings don’t allow them to dry well enough and the paint will need to stand up to the humidity/moisture of long showers. All the lighting is currently from ceiling mounted can lights, dimmer controlled. The existing tile is a cream and light brown color.
The ceiling is 90″ over the vanity for the overhead lights and 98″ throughout the rest of the bathroom.
My partner is 6’1″ (185.42 cm) and I’m 5’4” (162.56 cm), so we’ll both need to be able to use the mirror, hooks, and cabinets comfortably.
