The kitchen environments presented in this project are inspired following a French style, according to the customer’s request. The fine details and elegant decorations contribute to give an unmistakable charm to each room.
The large kitchen on the ground floor has furniture along three walls: the higher elements (tall units columns with the oven, the fridge, etc.) are on the side of the D-6 door, the traditional burner stove with hood are located in the center, while the sink and kitchen cupboard, with glass doors, are on the window side. We decided to keep the window with the dimensions provided by the customer, in order to illuminate with natural light the cooking area, but we also added a French-door useful to access the backyard of the house directly from the kitchen (and then creating a more immediate passage of the food outside). At the center of the environment, there is a large island, partly intended for base units but at same time useful as a work plan, which ends with a table for four people.
The kitchen on the first floor is more secluded and intimate. Everything is developed on the back wall (with the sink and the burner stove) while in the center there is an island that serves both as a work surface or as a support for quick meals in a perfect composing symmetry.
To preserve a stylistic continuity, our choice for the furniture design is the same for both kitchens. The choice of the delicate and neutral shades of marble, for the top and the wall covering, gives an elegant and soft touch, while the handles and details in gold finish give brightness to the white lacquered base units, as well to the wall units. Everything is characterized by a refined chromatic balance.
The flooring is different for the two kitchens: wooden parquet for the show kitchen and ceramic with marble effect for the main kitchen, which is a less delicate solution than wood but it is more suitable for “heavy” cooking.
The valuable materials and enchanting solutions evoke refined customs of past memories through a unique style characterised by an exemplary quality and functionality.
