The proposal follows client's instructions resulting a modern apartment with a touch of classic suitable for this type of architecture. The selected furniture, stark in bright colors, lightens up the space of the living room creating a pleasant ambience. The night time illumination is improved with various lighting sources which also can take different positions so the atmosphere can be changed and adapted at customer's choice. The atmosphere of the Baroque-style building is stressed by the strip light at the bottom of the old stone wall which illuminates it.
For the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room are given two options. In first option there is no moving of the existing walls, just a little movement of the laundry door. In this case the kitchen is smaller (the same as existing) but with this new proposal it is better organized and suitable for easy maneuvering, giving also the client the option of less construction work and less expenses. The second option provides a bigger kitchen, but also leaves enough space for a comfortable bathroom and a functional laundry room. The kitchen finishing is chosen to fit better the "Italian terracotta" and its predominantly white tone is conceived to enhance the pleasant everyday feeling of the whole set.
The partition between the living area and the kitchen is a glass wall with black metal framework. The glass wall allows the light to come through into the kitchen and also gives a more spacious feeling.
Two options are given for some furniture pieces in regard to their price.
As for the existing furniture, the English style chest of drawers and the Chinese coffer are placed in the living room. The bookshelf and the other Chinese coffer are placed in the study. For the bookshelf two options are given, with measurements for both options. The only custom made furniture is the tv stand for which are given all measurements and full description.
