The house is designed with efficient space planning, using one main hallway that connects bedrooms and bathroom, leaving maximum space for the living / kitchen and dining area.
Some notes regarding the design requirements:
1. The main entrance is from the porch, giving more pleasant experience for guests when coming into the house.
2. A master bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom, 2 bedrooms for children, and one bathroom accessible from the corridor.
3. A laundry cabinet is placed in front of the bathroom, so the laundry machine can be used even if the bathroom is occupied.
4. In both design options, there is fireplace inside the kitchen.
5. Living room and the kitchen are on separate rooms.
I provide two layout alternatives here. In the first option, we immediately greeted with the living room once entering the house, and the kitchen is larger with big island table.
In the second option, the kitchen is medium-sized (but still big enough), while the bigger space is for the living area for socializing.
Depend on your needs and preferences, you can choose whether you want bigger living or bigger kitchen. In both designs, the fireplace is well-located near the flue, and the kitchen sink disposal can be arranged nicely with the existing plumbing.
