La vivienda a proyectar representa una oportunidad para poner en valor la carga simbólica, histórica y paisajística del lugar.
La intervención se sintetiza en operaciones simples que permiten una lectura clara de la obra, tanto para la construcción como para la vivencia del espacio. Se priorizó que las demoliciones sean mínimas para mantener las características morfológicas y estructurales de la construcción preexistente. Sobre lo viejo, lo histórico, se incrusta lo nuevo. Un juego de volúmenes simples que configuran las funciones y van en busca del paisaje.
Funciones: En planta baja se organizan las funciones sociales, un living o sala vinculada a la cocina comedor. Un gran espacio integrado, desde el cual se puede vivenciar el paisaje natural del Lago di Barrea. En el primer piso, se organizan dos dormitorios vinculados por el baño principal de la casa. Un dormitorio permite tener un acceso secundario por la puerta trasera, y el otro dormitorio se abre hacia las vistas del paisaje. En el segundo piso, se proyecta una habitación con baño privado. Todos los pisos están vinculados con un conector espacial vertical (escalera) que recorre la vivienda en relación con el muro viejo y con la luz natural, generando un óptimo juego de texturas que acompaña el recorrido.
Las funciones presentadas son solo sugerencias, la configuración espacial permite que los dormitorios se conviertan fácilmente en otra función; por ejemplo, la habitación con la caja de vidrio hacia el paisaje podría funcionar como sala privada de descanso, o la habitación del segundo piso como estudio privado de trabajo.
En cuanto a terminaciones y materialidad, se busca que todos los elementos acompañen a lo existente, que no compitan con el fin de darle valor a lo prexistente. Es así que se genera una atmósfera amigable, que interactúa con lo rústico de los muros antiguos pero sin perder su condición de arquitectura contemporánea. Arquitectura que une lo viejo, lo nuevo y el paisaje.

The house to be projected represents an opportunity to value the symbolic, historical and landscape load of the place.
The intervention is synthesized in simple operations that allow a clear reading of the work, both for the construction and for the experience of the space. Minimum demolitions were prioritized to maintain the morphological and structural characteristics of the pre-existing construction. On the old, the historical, the new is embedded. A game of simple volumes that configure the functions and go in search of the landscape.
Functions: On the ground floor, social functions are organized, a living room or room linked to the kitchen-dining room. A large integrated space, from which you can experience the natural landscape of Lago di Barrea. On the first floor, two bedrooms are arranged linked by the main bathroom of the house. One bedroom allows for secondary access through the back door, and the other bedroom opens onto views of the landscape. On the second floor, a room with a private bathroom is projected. All the floors are linked with a vertical spatial connector (staircase) that runs through the house in relation to the old wall and to the natural light, generating an optimal game of textures that accompanies the route.
The functions presented are only suggestions, the spatial configuration allows the bedrooms to easily become another function; For example, the room with the glass box facing the landscape could function as a private break room, or the room on the second floor as a private work study.
In terms of finishes and materiality, it is sought that all the elements accompany the existing, that they do not compete in order to give value to the pre-existing. This is how a friendly atmosphere is generated, which interacts with the rustic of the old walls but without losing its status as contemporary architecture. Architecture that unites the old, the new and the landscape.
