Per riammodernare questo appartamento, non è necessario stravolgerne la pianta, incorrendo in massicce operazioni di ristrutturazione e costi elevati. La zona giorno ben si presta a rimanere a ridosso dell'ingresso. Invertendo le posizoni della cucina e del soggiorno, mantenendo la zona giorno come un open space, si ricava spazio per un'ampia cucina con isola e generoso tavolo da pranzo. Il soggiorno è in una posizione più protetta, lontana dalla strada. La zona conversazione è arricchita da una seduta con cuscini, ricavata nella nicchia sotto le due finestre esistenti. La veranda è stata trasformata in una confortevole zona lettura o relax. Il disimpegno è necessario per creare un antibagno al servizio igienico esistente, che rimane nella posizone originaria, semplificando l'iter esecutivo. Un secondo bagno è ricavato al posto del vecchio ripostiglio, leggermente ridimensionato. Nella proposta progettuale è stato assegnato alla camera padronale, ma potrebbe avere accesso dal disimpegno e quindi servire le due camere da letto. Queste ultime hanno buone dimensioni, tant'è che la camera padronale è stata anche dotata di una comoda cabina armadio passante.
Per uniformare gli ambienti e allargarne otticamente le dimensioni, si consiglia di utilizzare un'unica finitura a pavimento (parquet in legno color rovere), ad eccezione eventualmente del bagno, dove è stato proposto un attuale decoro a cementine.

By reversing the positions of the kitchen and living room, keeping the living area as an open space, space is created for a large kitchen with island and generous dining table. The living room is in a more protected location, away from the street. The conversation area is enriched by a seat with cushions, obtained in the niche under the two existing windows. The veranda has been transformed into a comfortable reading or relaxation area. The disengagement is necessary to create an anteroom to the existing toilet, which remains in the original position, simplifying the executive procedure. A second bathroom is obtained in place of the old storage room, slightly reduced. In the project proposal it was assigned to the master bedroom, but could have access from the hallway and therefore serve the two bedrooms. The latter have good dimensions, so much so that the master bedroom has also been equipped with a comfortable walk-in closet.
To uniform the rooms and optically widen their dimensions, it is advisable to use a single floor finish (oak-colored wood parquet), except possibly the bathroom, where a current cement tile decoration has been proposed.
