These are the points on which this design is based:
1. To retain maximum existing walls and reduce demolition.
2. Locate all drainage requiring elements in one zone, thus freeing up the rest of the plan. This also allows for easier drainage by raising the floor of only that zone.
3. Minimum common hallway so as to achieve maximum area within the apartments.
5. Passages within the apartments are optimized such that they give privacy to bedrooms and have sufficient space for storage, but do not waste too much of the apartment's internal area.
Note: Unit A has larger Living room since Unit B has a terrace attached to its living room.
