Il progetto della casa, sia la residenza privata che l'area riservata al B&B, è stato fortemente influenzato dalle richieste del cliente. L’appartamento è stato diviso in due diversi ambienti. Nel primo, come richiesto è posizionata l’abitazione, nel secondo sono state progettate le stanze per il Bed&Breakfast. La parte privata della casa è caratterizzata da un grande open space nel quale è stato pensato di posizionare, il salone, la zona pranzo e la cucina. Si accede a questo spazio dall’ingresso all’abitazione, uno spazio quadrato, con un piccolo desk informativo e controsoffittato con la tecnica dello shadow gap. Questo spazio è la cerniera tra la casa e il Bed&Breakfast, allo stesso tempo diviso dai due tramite un sistema di porta a battente e scorrevole. Si è scelto di mantenere il pavimento preesistente in marmo sia nell’Open Space che nella camera patronale. Tutti i muri sono tinteggiati di bianco, in contrasto con la pavimentazione e gli arredi di un colore più scuro e caldo. La cucina è pensata con una penisola dove si può cucinare e consumare i pasti. Il muro alle spalle del tavolo è rifinito con una parete in mattoncini tipo cortina facciavista. Il resto della casa comprende la camera patronale con bagno privato, un bagno di servizio e uno studio convertibile in camera da letto per eventuali ospiti o futuro allargamento della famiglia. Per poter realizzare il secondo bagno, si è reso necessario rialzare il pavimento di 15 centimetri (attraverso un pavimento flottante, più leggero rispetto al tradizionale massetto dunque grava di meno sulla struttura esistente), in modo da permettere che le tubazioni abbiano la pendenza necessaria al passaggio. La parte più difficile della ristrutturazione è stato il progetto del B&B. La richiesta consisteva nel pensare uno spazio con tre camere doppie e una tripla, ognuna di queste con un bagno privato. Si è progettato lo spazio secondo le richieste, allo stesso tempo si è cercato di demolire il minor numero di muri possibile. Sono state progettate quattro stanze da letto, tre matrimoniali e una tripla; i bagni privati di ciascuna stanza sono simili nelle dimensioni. Ogni stanza ha un differente colore di finitura della parete di testata del letto, così da rendere le stanze riconoscibili l’una dall’altra. Il pavimento è realizzato in PVC dall’aspetto in finto legno, in modo da ridurre un eccessivo aumento dei costi. Questo materiale inoltre è raccomandato per questo tipo di spazio in quanto è molto resistente e difficile da raschiare. Il pavimento del bagno invece è rifinito in resina. Anche il corridoio di ingresso alle camere verrà controsoffittato con la tecnica dello shadow gap in modo da illuminare il passaggio e allo stesso tempo mettere in luce l'entrata delle stanze.
Arredi e Finiture sono stati inseriti nella stessa tavola così da avere una visione a 360° dell'intervento finito.

The design of the house was influenced by the strict request of the client. We divided the apartment in two different environments. In one as requested there is the house, in the other part we designed the room for the Bed and Breakfast. The private part of the house is characterized by a large open space in which we located the living room, dining room and kitchen. It is possible to access this space from the hall/Reception, a square room, with a desk, two armchairs and a false ceiling designed with a shadow gap. This space is the link between the house and the B&B, separated from the house thanks to a sliding door. We were able to maintain the former floor finish in the living room. All the walls are white in contrast with the pavement and the darker and warmer color of the furniture. We were able to design a kitchen with a partial island where is possible to cook or eat. The wall on the back of the dining table is finished with a false brick wall. We designed a Master Bedroom with its own bathroom, a study that can be arranged as a guest bedroom and a bathroom that can be used from the owner’s guests. In order to design an additional bathroom in the house it was necessary to rise the floor height of 15 centimeters so that it is possible to allow the necessary slope for the tubes. This was made only for two rooms. The study and the first of the bedrooms in the B&B. The project of the Bed and Breakfast was the changeling part of the project. The request was to think a space with three double bedroom and a three people bedroom; each of these rooms should have had a private bathroom. We tried to design the space according to the request, trying not to demolish the existing walls where possible. We designed 4 bedrooms, three for 2 people and one for three people, the private bathroom are similar for each room in terms of dimensions. Each room have a different wall finishing so that each environment is not the same. The floor finishing for all the Bed and Breakfast is a PVC pavement with a wood look, in orther to prevent excessive cost. The material is recommended for these kind of places since is very resistant and scratch resistant. The bathroom’s pavement instead has a light grey resin floor.
Furnishings and Finishings have been placed in the same table so that they have a 360 ° view of the finished operation.
