Dear client,
We proposed a completely new layout for your house, considering that you particularly love to relax on your deck and enjoy the view of the surrounding nature from your home. We also considered that you would love to have a large great room that includes living, dining and kitchen.
We changed the position of the Entry, with a grand main door and we located a small mud room on the left side of the entrance, for family and guest shoes and coats.
On the first floor we designed the day area on the north side of the home (red color on drawings) and the night area (blu color on drawings) on the south side of the home, positioning the garage with the utilities (green color on drawings) close to dining room and the kitchen.
In the night area we included a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, two kids bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 1 office and a stairway to access the second floor. There is also a small laundry area under the stairs, close to the master bedroom.
In the day area, where there is the main entrance with a grand doorway, we located a mud room, a living room with a large fireplace, the media room, dining room and kitchen. Directly connected to the dining room and kitchen, there is the garage for two vehicles and the utilities room plus an extra bath.
The Kitchen has a beautiful central island directly in front of a door to access to deck area.
On the second level we located a guest bedroom with bath and a multipurpose room or prayer room.
The style used for the furniture is the craftsman style.
This design gives you a nice idea of how you could utilize the space you have. Of course you can move rooms around, the office could be a bathroom making an en-suite, and the bathroom could become the office, for instance. The 2 kids bedrooms could be upstairs with the guest room down stairs. With this layout, you are able to utilize the windows and light, with access to the deck and out side for a greater natural flow.
