Strategy
The project developes the possibility to have in a single urban
apartment, both open and public spaces, both private and full of
silence rooms. The public space is the brighter and full of life space of the
house, it's open to different windows and has got cross ventilation.
This space is opened to the main windows of the apartment, in this
sense the big terrace is designed as an integral part of the living
room.
Different spaces are open and continuos, here different shadows
and lights are designed to be efficient for all the different
functions. Layout
The public spaces are the living room and the dining room: the new
earth of the apartment. Those spaces are protected by the filter
space of atrio. The atrio is the place where the experience of the
house starts. From here is possible to see the glimpse the essence of
the main space of the apartment. From the atrio is attainable the
main bathroom of the flat, where is situated, in a close area, the
laundry space.
The living room is made by a continuos space where all the
different function of the owners find their own space. Here there are
two principal areas, one for dining ang cook with a isola-kitchen,
and one for living, with sofas and a sheld with a table usable for
studio area.
The three rooms are in the external part of the apartment, and
their position gives them the private atmosphere necessary. This
because between rooms are situated all the service function required,
like a private atrio, the second bathroom and a 'spa space' for
shower and wellness. Interiors The main space is the
open and principal space of the living and dinig room. Here the fllor
and the ceiling are withe, and the wall are full of two colours (the
azul-blu and the red-brown). The floor is in white wood (rovere
sbiancato), and the walls are painted. Only the wall of the
kitchen is covered by a big glass, and the wall in front of the
dinner table is covered by an urban photograph.
Light
The light of the apartment comes from
the windows and it's natural. This helps the possibility to have the
best energy-efficient house.For the artificial light we thougt about
long led lines and neon, some of them are pendant (above the dinner
table), and others are directly in the ceiling.
The choice to have one singular
tipology of light in different spaces help to have an organic space
with only one element. The different combination of this one singular
element create different and specific atmospheres for each space.
