The solution provided gives the optimal use of the space. The main entrance remains from the terrace directly into the Living area. Here we have a small entrance area with furniture allowing shoe storage and a coat hanger, then we have the seating area, dining area and a kitchen. A small corridor leads to the other rooms. On the left side are the two double bedrooms, one of which is with its own private bathroom. At the end of the hall, there is a small storage space with a washing machine and dryer stacked on top of each other. From here is the entrance to the second bathroom.
All of the existing internal walls will be demolished to create the new layout. The private bathroom is in the current place of the existing bathroom as to keep the existing sewage connection. The second bathroom is located right next to it for easier new sewage/water connections. The project proposes mostly the use of pocket doors, but they can easily be switched for swing doors without affecting the functionality of the proposed layout. In the kitchen a new window is proposed to ensure more natural light into the living area.
The outside terrace is organized as a seating area with patio furniture surrounded by lots of plants, in order to provide a little bit of privacy from the street and also to create a nicer and more pleasant “chilling” area.
