Architectural Design Report
Project Overview:
The project involves expanding an existing countryside house situated on approximately 2800 m² of land. The current property, covering around 70/80 m², is proposed to be extended towards the rear portion where the satellite dish and concrete area are located. The envisioned extension aims to create a spacious living area with a kitchen spanning approximately 75 m², accompanied by the addition of a patio. Additionally, a new entrance is proposed for the extension, while the existing entrance to the main house remains unchanged. Furthermore, provisions have been made for internal access from the main house to the new extension, allowing seamless movement between the two structures. A designated storage area has been integrated within the new extension to cater to storage needs.
Design Concept:
The design concept remains consistent with the previous proposal, focusing on seamlessly integrating the new extension with the existing structure while harmonizing with the serene countryside surroundings. Natural materials such as stone and wood will continue to be emphasized to maintain a rustic charm and blend the new elements with the existing architecture.
Proposed Layout Adjustments:
New Entrance for Extension: A new entrance will be created specifically for the extension, providing direct access to the new living area and kitchen. This entrance will be positioned in the area previously occupied by the TV satellite dish, as per the initial proposal.
Internal Access: Internal access between the main house and the new extension will be facilitated to enable easy movement between the two structures. This internal passage will allow occupants to transition seamlessly from the existing house to the new living area and vice versa.
Storage Area within Extension: A designated storage area will be incorporated within the new extension to provide ample space for storage needs. This storage area will be strategically located to ensure convenience and accessibility for the occupants.
Sustainability and Efficiency:
Efforts will be made to integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies, ensuring minimal environmental impact and long-term cost savings for the homeowners. Passive design strategies and eco-friendly materials will be prioritized to enhance the sustainability of the project.
