L'appartamento che avete acquistato ha molte potenzialità ed un'ottima metratura. La cosa importante da considerare è l'aspetto distributivo, perché la casa è in primo luogo da vivere e quindi deve essere pratica e funzionale. Da questa base si può poi procedere a studiare finiture, arredi ed illuminazione, ma senza una buona base di partenza si possono fare scelte poco felici.
A mio parere, quindi, è stato importante suddividere in modo più marcato la zona giorno dalla zona notte. Altro vincolo fortemente incidente sul progetto è stata la posizione dei bagni, difficilmente spostabile, soprattutto senza incorrere in grosse problematiche che si traducono poi in un aumento dei costi di ristrutturazione. Anche la porta di ingresso è stata lasciata nella posizione originaria: spostarla avrebbe significato aumentare i costi dei lavori e posizionarla in un luogo più scomodo, troppo a ridosso dei gradini o dell'ascensore. L'ingresso avviene quindi direttamente nel disimpegno che immette nella zona giorno. Nella nuova distribuzione la cucina è stata spostata a ridosso della stanza pentagonale, elemento di grande pregio per l'appartamento. Si crea così un living unico, con un'ampia cucina dotata di isola: le grandi vetrate scorrevoli e impacchettabili permettono di avere una zona giorna unita, oppure di isolare la cucina (ad esempio quando si cucina, per evitare la diffusione di odori nella casa). Il living ha molteplici funzioni, tutte beneficianti della bella vista sulle finestre nella parete poligonale: sala da pranzo, con ampio tavolo in cristallo: zona conversazione e TV, arredata con comodi divani, poltroncine, il tavolo di Roche Bobois che tanto amate e una parete attrezzata per la televisione. Nella ricerca di uno spazio più “cozy” è stato creato un piccolo angolo, rialzato su una pedana, dove è stata posizionata una comoda poltrona da lettura, circondata da una libreria a tutta altezza (come Random di MDF Italia). La cucina è anche spazio funzionale della casa: riducendone leggermente la larghezza, è stato possibile ricavare una serie di locali di servizio, assolutamente funzionali nella vita domestica. Si accede quindi alla lavanderia, che disimpegna un piccolo wc; il blocco termina frontalmente con una nicchia che contiene il guardaroba per gli ospiti, chiuso da ante specchiate.
Non è stato dimenticato il Vostro desiderio di accedere al terrazzino senza passare dalle camere. Come fare allora a integrare il terrazzino con la zona giorno, essendo agli antipodi della pianta dell'appartamento? Questo è stato possibile creando un giardino d'inverno, che idealmente unisse la zona giorno al terrazzino. Il balconcino è stato leggermente ampliato verso l'interno e il giardino d'inverno, chiuso da vetrate lineari, porta il verde dell'erba e della vegetazione nell'ingresso fino al soggiorno. Ma anche le camere da letto possono beneficiare di questo piccolo polmone verde! La camera padronale ha una parete tagliata in obliquo, sulla quale è installata la televisione, fronteggiata al letto sospeso Air di Lago; si congiunge da un lato con la finestra, dall'altro invece termina in una vetrata ad angolo, nella quale è integrata la fioriera del giardino d'inverno. La camera padronale ospita un ampio armadio ed è dotata di bagno en suite. Una vetrata (eventualmente apribile), permette l'affaccio sulla vasca da bagno freestanding di design. Anche la seconda camera padronale (che potrebbe essere anche questa la padronale) beneficia del giardino d'inverno: sono state realizzate tre finestre – tre tagli di luce – che fanno penetrare il verde e la luce all'interno della camera. La scrivania, integrata alla testiera del letto, può godere della luce naturale, mentre la parete retrostante è rivestita con una carta da parati a tema “green”, per perpetuare il dialogo tra interno ed esterno. La camera adiacente è più piccola, ma ha comunque dimensioni tali da essere utilizzata come studio o come camera ospiti, grazie al letto a scomparsa che da chiuso diventa libreria (Sistema Vertigo di Giessegi).
L'insinuarsi del giardino d'inverno verso il cuore della casa è enfatizzato dalla pavimentazione in grés, richiamante il motivo tangram, che dal balcone entra fino al soggiorno, creando una sorta di tappeto che guida nello spostamento tra gli spazi. Questa pavimentazione geometrica e moderna contrasta con il pavimento che ricorre in tutto l'appartamento, lo chevron (spina di pesce) in un rovere miele: può essere realizzato come parquet in legno o nella più pratica versione del grés effetto legno, senza perdere l'allure di questo tipo di lavorazione, che ben si sposa con il contesto vintage dell'appartamento. Il bagno della zona giorno ed il wc sono invece interamente realizzati in resina: la continuità del rivestimento permette di dilatare otticamente lo spazio. Non potendo spostare i bagni, è stato difficile crearne uno con aerazione diretta e pertanto bisognerà ricorrere a quella meccanica. Si potrebbe tuttavia valutare il posizionamento di tunnel solari (come quelli prodotti da Velux) nelle intercapedini esistenti a ridosso dei bagni, supponendo che esse continuino fino all'ultimo livello dell'edificio. I tunnel solari non hanno un costo elevato (circa 500 euro) e tramite un sistema di specchi permettono di portare luce naturale in spazi altrimenti ciechi.
La palette colori è giocata su tonalità chiare e neutre. Lo sfondo è sicuramente bianco, con tocchi di greige (grigio/beige) e carta da zucchero, a sottolineare particolari angoli come la zona lettura o il controsoffitto che ribassa l'ingresso. Sempre a tale scopo, sono state utilizzate carte da parati fotografiche, di grande impatto.
La scelta di vivere insieme, è una delle più importanti che si possa fare. Con il mio progetto spero di potervi aiutare a realizzare il sogno di una casa per la vita!

The apartment you purchased has a lot of potential and a great size. The important thing to consider is the distributive aspect, because the house is primarily a living and therefore must be practical and functional. From this base you can then proceed to study finishes, furnishings and lighting, but without a good starting point you can make unhappy choices.
In my opinion, therefore, it was important to divide the living area more markedly from the sleeping area. Another drawback to the project has been the position of the bathrooms, which are difficult to move, above all without running into major problems which then translate into an increase in restructuring costs. Even the entrance door was left in the original position: moving it would have meant increasing the costs of the work and positioning it in a more uncomfortable place, too close to the stairs or the elevator. Entry is therefore directly into the hallway that leads into the living area. In the new distribution the kitchen has been moved close to the pentagonal room, an element of great value for the apartment. This creates a unique living area, with a large kitchen equipped with an island: the large sliding and packable windows allow you to have a combined living area, or to isolate the kitchen (for example when cooking, to avoid the spread of smells in the home ). The living room has multiple functions, all benefiting from the beautiful view on the windows in the polygonal wall: dining room, with large crystal table: conversation area and TV, furnished with comfortable sofas, armchairs, the Roche Bobois table that you love so much and a wall equipped for television. In the search for a more "cozy" space, a small corner was raised, raised on a platform, where a comfortable reading chair was placed, surrounded by a full-height bookcase (like Random by MDF Italia). The kitchen is also a functional space in the house: by slightly reducing its width, it has been possible to obtain a series of service areas that are absolutely functional in domestic life. The laundry is then accessed, which disengages a small toilet; the block ends frontally with a niche containing the guest wardrobe, closed by mirrored doors.
Your desire to access the terrace without going through the rooms has not been forgotten. So how do you integrate the terrace with the living area, being at the antipodes of the layout of the apartment? This was possible by creating a winter garden, which ideally linked the living area to the small terrace. The balcony has been slightly enlarged towards the inside and the winter garden, enclosed by linear windows, brings the green of the grass and vegetation to the entrance up to the living room. But even the bedrooms can benefit from this little green lung! The master bedroom has an oblique cut wall, on which the television is installed, facing the suspended Air bed by Lago; it joins on one side with the window, on the other hand it ends in a corner window, in which the planter of the winter garden is integrated. The master bedroom has a large wardrobe and is equipped with an en suite bathroom. A glass partition (which can be opened) allows the designer to view the freestanding design bathtub. The second master bedroom (which could also be the master bedroom) also benefits from the winter garden: three windows have been created - three light cuts - that make the green and light penetrate the interior of the room. The desk, integrated into the headboard of the bed, can enjoy natural light, while the rear wall is covered with a "green" theme wallpaper, to perpetuate the dialogue between inside and outside. The adjacent room is smaller, but still has dimensions such as to be used as a study or as a guest room, thanks to the foldaway bed which becomes a bookcase when closed (Vertigo System by Giessegi).
The piercing of the winter garden towards the heart of the house is emphasized by the stoneware flooring, recalling the tangram motif, which from the balcony enters the living room, creating a sort of carpet that guides the movement between the spaces. This geometric and modern flooring contrasts with the recurring floor throughout the apartment, the chevron (herringbone) in a honey oak: it can be made as a wooden parquet or in the more practical version of wood-effect stoneware, without losing the allure of this type of work, which goes well with the vintage context of the apartment. The bathroom in the living area and the toilet are instead entirely made of resin: the continuity of the coating allows the space to expand optically. Not being able to move the bathrooms, it was difficult to create one with direct ventilation and therefore it would be necessary to use the mechanical one. However, the positioning of solar tunnels (such as those produced by Velux) in existing cavities near the baths could be assessed, assuming that they continue up to the last level of the building. Solar tunnels do not have a high cost (around 500 euros) and through a system of mirrors allow to bring natural light into otherwise blind spaces.
The color palette is played on light and neutral shades. The background is certainly white, with touches of greige (gray / beige) and sugar paper, to highlight particular angles such as the reading area or the false ceiling that gives back the entrance. Still for this purpose, high-impact photographic wallpapers were used.
The choice to live together is one of the most important that can be done. With my project I hope to help you realize the dream of a home for life!
