The apartment consists of two zones, night and day, that are divided by a glass door. The day zone consists of a kitchen, a dining room and a living area with acess to the terrace. The night zone consists of the main bedroom, guest/ study room and bathroom with a tub. Near the entrance, there Is another bathroom with a shower, that can be used both from the night and day zone – for example when you have guests or friends over, they can easily access the bathroom from the living area, not having to go to the private/ night zone. By demolishing the kitchen wall, the living area became larger with an open plan kitchen. The kitchen is now also larger and there is a sense of space. The oven and microwave are placed in a single column, next to the fridge. The dining room is kept, with the eight-seater square table.
There was no need for reducing the sizes of the sleeping area. The rooms kept the initial sizes, and the bigger room is a study room, that can accommodate a guest. In the bathroom there is a hidden closet with the washing and drying machine.
Because of the darker floor tiles and the specific scheme, the color palette of the apartment is kept neutral, with accent colors. The walls are white, giving the apartment, a fresh and clean modern look. Some suggestions for the wall colors in the entrance area can be seen in the finishes list. Materials such as wood and stone give a warm, but still elegant ambience to the apartment.
The focus is on spaciousness and achieving a harmonious space.
