Design Concept Note
Thank you again for the opportunity and trust you have placed in me.
The overall design has been developed around your desire to maintain a sense of openness, especially as you are transitioning from a much larger home. The primary objective was to create a layout that feels spacious, bright, and fluid, while remaining highly functional and efficient.
Living Area
The kitchen, dining, and living room have been combined into one generous open-plan space. This configuration enhances visual continuity and allows natural light to enter from multiple directions, creating a bright, welcoming, and airy environment.
The furniture layout ensures comfort without overcrowding the space: a well-positioned sofa, a flexible dining table (extendable to six guests), and a dedicated wall unit to integrate technical equipment and support the 50” TV. The result is a social heart of the home that feels expansive despite the apartment’s compact footprint.
Master Bedroom Suite
The master bedroom has been conceived as a private retreat. The walk-in wardrobe keeps storage separate from the sleeping area, preserving visual calm and order. The en-suite bathroom provides comfort and privacy, making the suite feel self-contained and refined.
Multipurpose Bedroom
The second bedroom has been designed as a flexible, multifunctional space. It can easily adapt to different needs — guest room, home office, or hobby space — while still accommodating wardrobes and a compact desk. This adaptability ensures long-term usability.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom is organized for practicality and comfort, featuring a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and vanity arranged for efficient movement.
The service bathroom integrates laundry functions discreetly, keeping washing and storage separate from the main living areas. This preserves the aesthetic quality of the home while maintaining everyday convenience.
Entry and Circulation
The entry area acts as a transitional zone between the shared building circulation and the private interior. It gently guides movement toward the open living space, reinforcing the sense of spatial progression and arrival.
Storage
A dedicated storage solution has been incorporated to accommodate cleaning equipment and daily essentials. This supports a minimalist interior, ensuring that the visible spaces remain tidy and uncluttered.
