The project concept does not distort the initial distribution of the state of fact but , optimizing space, it aims to minimize the plant shifts that would inevitably have an impact on the cost of the intervention. Another reason that led to this decision was the apartment's orientation, which from the outset had been well thought out to make the most of the sunlight (sleeping area in the north - east and west living room).
Based on these important things, it still decided to rearrange the spaces in terms of airiness and with a definitely more modern conception. To do this it has deleted the entry hall, dark and cramped: the entrance is directly in the living area. It still retains a sort of filter, bordered on the left by a practical wardrobe (for guests visiting) and on the right from the existing aquarium, placed in a special plasterboard niche. The living room is divided from the kitchen by a large outer sliding glass door, so that the space can be transformed into a single living or, if necessary, the kitchen can be separated to ensure privacy and order. The kitchen has been resized and is projected toward the veranda, which becomes living space: the kitchen counter delimits a snack area, very practical.
Even access to the sleeping area is via a glass sliding door, so as not to remove light on release. This area hosts also a recessed wall cabinet with retractable doors, similar to the one in the entry. The bathroom, long and narrow, is optimized with the laying of a large shower with a fixed glass near the outer perimeter wall; existing double wall, which divides bathroom and kitchen, allows the use of suspended sanitary. The master bedroom is very large and allows the installation of a spacious walk-in wardrobe. Even the children's bedrooms has generous dimensions (the 14,00 sq m. Is the minimum size for a bedroom for two people), and here the space is optimized with a bridge room, which integrates the beds with wardrobe. Moreover, a useful shelter space to be used as laundry is obteined at the end of the hallway.

L'idea di progetto non stravolge la distribuzione degli ambienti dello stato di fatto ma, ottimizzando gli spazi, intende ridurre al minimo gli spostamenti impiantistici che inevitabilmente andrebbero ad incidere sul costo dell'intervento. Altra motivazione che ha portato a questa decisione è stato l'orientamento dell'appartamento, che già in origine era stato ben pensato per sfruttare al meglio la luce solare (zona notte a nord – est e soggiorno a ovest).
Partendo da questi importanti capisaldi, si è deciso comunque di riorganizzare gli spazi in termini di ariosità e con una concezione sicuramente più moderna. Per far questo è stato eliminato il corridoio di ingresso, buio ed angusto: l'ingresso avviene direttamente nella zona giorno. Si mantiene comunque una sorta di filtro, delimitato a sinistra dell'ingresso da un pratico armadio guardaroba (per gli ospiti in visita) e sulla destra dall'acquario, inserito in una apposita nicchia in cartongesso. Il soggiorno è diviso dalla cucina da una grande porta a vetro scorrevole esterna, così che l'ambiente possa trasformarsi in un unico living o, all'occorrenza, la cucina possa essere separata per garantire privacy e ordine. La cucina è stata ridimensionata e si proietta verso la veranda, che diventa spazio abitativo: il bancone della cucina delimita una zona snack, molto pratica.
Anche l'accesso alla zona notte avviene mediante una porta scorrevole vetrata, così da non togliere luce al disimpegno. In questa zona è stato ricavato un armadio contenitore con ante a scomparsa tipo rasomuro, analogo a quello dell'ingresso. Il bagno, lungo e stretto, è ottimizzato con la posa di un'ampia doccia con vetro fisso a ridosso del muro perimetrale esterno; la doppia parete esistente, che divide bagno e cucina, permette di utilizzare sanitari sospesi. La camera padronale è molto ampia e permette l'installazione di una spaziosa cabina guardaroba. Anche la camera dei ragazzi ha dimensioni generose (i 14,00 mq. sono la dimensione minima per una camera da letto per due persone) e qui lo spazio viene ottimizzato con una cameretta a ponte, che integri i letti con l'armadiatura guardaroba. E' infine stato ricavato un utile spazio di ricovero da adibire a lavanderia.
